My blog is my on-line home for various scribblings about the history of the area and reviews of literary or political meetings. The series of posts ‘A roam around my books’ follows my quest to find my favourite book while reflecting on different times of my life.
I was born in Preston, Lancashire and now live in Manchester. Since graduating from York University I have pursued careers in teaching, management consultancy and marketing. I have over twenty years commercial writing experience, including editing, copywriting and marketing communications. Recently, I have taken time out to fulfil some long term ambitions, completing Masters in history and creative writing.
